Acceptance of Terms
By registering for any course, service, or program offered by YR Firearms (“Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), you (“Student,” “you,” or “your”) agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions. These terms meet the requirements of the Ontario Chief Firearms Office (CFO), the Firearms Safety Education Service of Ontario (FSESO), the RCMP Canadian Firearms Program, and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry for the Ontario Hunter Education Program (OHEP).
If you do not agree with these terms, do not proceed with registration.
Course Offerings & Fees
All courses are delivered in accordance with CFO-approved training standards and FSESO regulations
FREE Admission to Toronto Sportsmen’s Show
Canadian Firearms Safety Course: $217.30 (8 hours + examination)
Hunter Education Program - Youth (12-17): FREE (7 hours + examination)
Hunter Education Program - Adult (18+): $113.00 (7 hours + examination)
Payment Terms
Full payment is required at the time of enrolment
Accepted payment methods: Visa, MasterCard, or arranged cash/e-transfer
All prices include HST
Cancellation, Refund & Rescheduling Policies
Adult Hunter Education Course
14+ days prior to course: $25 admin fee for cancellation. Refund will be applied back to credit card within 7-10 business days.
Less than 14 days: No cancellation or refunds.
Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) -PAL
14+ days prior to course: $25 admin fee for cancellation. Refund will be applied back to credit card within 7-10 business days.
Less than 14 days: No cancellation or refunds.
All cancellations must be requested via text (705)-994-6670 with the name under the reservation and the course date. We will respond within 48 hours (response time does not affect eligibility).
Company Cancellations
If we cancel due to instructor illness, unsafe weather, facility issues, or other factors beyond our control, you will be transferred to another available date or be provided a refund
No-Show Policy
Failure to attend without prior notice results in forfeiture of the full deposit.
Course Requirements & Conduct
Age Requirements
OHEP: Minimum 12 years old
CFSC: Minimum 12 years, parent/guardian MUST sign a minor’s consent form morning of registration
Student Conduct
Participants must
Arrive on time with required materials
Follow all safety protocols and instructor directions
Treat instructors and classmates respectfully
Refrain from disruptive behaviour or attending under the influence of alcohol/drugs
Dismissal Policy
Students who violate safety rules, behave disruptively, or attend under the influence will be dismissed without refund.
Certification & Examination
Successful completion of both written and practical exams is required for certification
Retests are available for an additional fee per FSESO policy
Certification is issued by the FSESO and recorded with the RCMP Canadian Firearms Program in accordance with the Firearms Act
Certification validity is set by federal regulations

What to Bring
Government-issued photo ID
Pen and paper
Arrive 15 minutes early for registration
Free on-site parking available
Youth (12-17) will need a consent form signed by a guardian
PAL Photo Service
A photo is required for your PAL application form and must meet the specifications outlined by the RCMP.
We can provide your PAL photo for $20.00 + HST. All photos are produced to meet the official requirements and provided in 200 KB format.
Please note: When sending the file electronically, some devices or email services may automatically reduce the file size. If this occurs, you may need to adjust the size back to the required specifications before submission.
Breaks & Refreshments
Breaks/Lunch provided throughout the day
Technology Policy
NO laptops, tablets, or iPads permitted during class
Cell phones may only be used during breaks

CFSC Manual is provided the day of the course at no extra charge
OHEP Manual is provided the day of the course at no extra charge
Intellectual Property
All course content, training materials, and presentations are the property of YR Firearms, the Firearms Safety Education Service of Ontario (FSESO), and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP). These materials are provided solely for course instruction and may not be copied, recorded, reproduced, or distributed in any form without prior written permission from the respective rights holders.
Privacy Policy
We collect and store student information in compliance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). Information will be shared with government agencies as required for certification.
Unforeseen Circumstances
YR Firearms is not liable for cancellations due to events beyond our control, including severe weather, natural disasters, government regulations, or public health emergencies.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.
