What to Do After Completing Your

Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC/CRFSC)

Congratulations on successfully completing your Canadian Firearms Safety Course (CFSC) and/or Canadian Restricted Firearms Safety Course (CRFSC)! You’re now on your way to obtaining your Possession and Acquisition Licence (PAL) or Restricted PAL (RPAL).

1: Safeguard Your Firearms Course Report

You will receive a Firearms Safety Course Report, which is official proof that you passed your firearms training.

  • Take a photo of your course report for backup

  • YR Firearms cannot reissue this document if it’s lost or damaged

2: Watch for the RCMP Confirmation Email

You will receive an email from the Canadian Firearms Program (RCMP) within 5 business days of completing your course. This email confirms that your course results have been successfully submitted and will include an invitation to apply online for your PAL.

The email will state:
“Canadian Firearms Safety Course Results Submitted” — this is what the RCMP refers to as your Blue Stamp.

⚠️ Important: This email is required for your PAL/RPAL application. You must submit a copy of this email along withthe course report provided by your instructor in the classroom. Be sure to save it, as both documents are necessary for your application.
