Who We Are

Founded under the umbrella of York Region Firearms Academy, which was established in 1994 by Richard Holmes, a retired Toronto Fire Captain with over 40 years of firearms experience, YR Firearms builds on a long-standing tradition of excellence in firearms training in Ontario.

Janice Holmes, founder of YR Firearms in 2016, is a designated instructor and an active member of the Firearms Safety Education Service of Ontario (FSESO). With 30 years of shooting experience, Janice is passionate about educating new and experienced shooters alike.
