NON-RESTRICTED FIREARMS LONG GUNS "Your Safety is our Priority"
People must have a licence to possess or to acquire non-restricted firearms and all non-restricted must be registered. Transitional provisions give people who possessed their non-restricted firearms before commencement day until January 1, 2001 to get a licence to possess these firearms , and until January 1, 2003 to register them. Certain documents, such as FACs, are deemed to be licences until they expire. The Canadian Firearms Safety Course deals with all aspects of Non-Restricted Firearms and how the different types of firearms actions works. The course also covers ammunition, legal aspects, safe and legal storage as well as transportation.
